In working with clients who are depressed, overwhelmed with anxiety, struggling with relationship issues or big life decisions and transitions, the initial goal is to find some relief early on. Usually this involves taking a solution focused approach to the problem at hand to get unstuck and to develop coping skills to manage the anxiety and depressed mood.
