I have a special interest in working with individuals who are trying to change their lives in a fundamental way. These areas can include: substance abuse, relationships and the impact that chronic illness has on our lives. I have been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) to help treat PTSD, sexual trauma and other behavioral issues. I offer an initial 20-minute free, face-to-face consultation. My main interest is that you receive the help you need. In the event that the initial consultation is not a great fit, I will provide you with a professional referral to another practitioner.
EMDR therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches. To date, EMDR therapy has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress.
As EMDR is a mental health intervention, it should only be offered by properly trained and licensed mental health clinicians.
