I believe that therapy can benefit all of us. It helps to reduce stress and can improve our overall quality of life. In my experience, the most important aspect of therapy is the building of rapport between you and your therapist. With this in mind, I focus first on listening, being curious and respecting the fact that the people who I work with are the experts on their own lives. With a foundation of understanding then in place, we can work on achieving your individual goals.
I have more than a decade of experience using evidence-based therapies. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I have also been an adjunct instructor at Eastern Washington University and provided numerous clinical trainings in the community.
