I believe that every person is influenced by a unique combination of experiences and personality. I respect my role in helping you reach your therapeutic goals and I am honest, genuine, and ethical in my practice. I understand that a one-size-fits-all approach may not take into account your specific needs or strengths and limitations, and will work to adjust my approach to your needs. I have experience in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, personality and relationship issues, and anger management. I will work with individuals, couples', and families in therapy and can assess for potential learning disorders and ADHD.
One area in which I have a particular interest is couple's counseling focused on the transition to parenting. I am not aware of other practitioners that offer a program to improve a couple's functioning specifically during the prenatal period, which coincides with one of the most important transitions in a couple's life.
At this time, due to my responsibilities as Clinical Director at FGCU's counseling center, I only offer Wednesday evening appointments; 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00 PM. Hopefully, this allows for after-work appointments and/or time when childcare is available. I look forward to meeting with you and collaborating to move toward your mental health goals.
