I work with individuals, couple and families experiencing relational difficulties. I am particularly interested in those struggling in recovery from various addictions and in particular sexual addiction and compulsivity. I have over 25 years experience in this area. I also have extensive experience in working with families and adolescents. My approach considers each person's side and attempts to facilitate a healing dialogue and the resolution of emotional reactivity among family members especially where issues of trauma are present.
My specialty has been working with families, couples and individuals struggling with trauma, sexual disorders and addictions. These areas include internet addictions, gambling and sexual compulsivity. I also work with Adult Children of Alcoholics. I believe a contextual approach to healing to be in the best interests of clients.
I believe my training, experience and practice in working with trauma in couples and families is a unique integration of contextual family therapy and the latest research based methods of addressing trauma. I have been trained and certified in EMDR. I have been trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy.
