I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who strives to support and guide my clients through challenging life experiences. I have over 10 years of professional experience working with children, youth, and families. I specialize in the areas of depression, anxiety, adults with childhood trauma, mood disorders, adoption issues, cultural issues, parent-child conflicts, relational discord, and managing life transitions. I have extensive experience empowering and engaging individuals, couples, and families to move toward positive changes. I also have a broad range of experience working with youth and adults with mental health concerns.
I have extensive experience working in juvenile justice, child welfare, adoption, foster care, and domestic violence services. I am able to use my own life experiences to motivate clients to explore and expand their capacity to reach new limits. My experiences include learning how to create internal motivation, harness resiliency & overcome challenges.
I received my Master of Social Work Degree from George Mason University in 2007. I combine traditional talk therapy with cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented, solution-focused, and family systems approaches to help empower people toward the life they want.
