About
For more than 30 years, I have helped others to negotiate their pain and difficult circumstances with compassion, sensitivity, warmth, intelligence and kindness. My interdisciplinary approach respects an awareness of each person's individuality and their life history, as people tend to cope with their problems and situations depending upon who they are in the first place. My goal is to provide both support and understanding, and through listening well, to provide expert professional guidance in helping people to find their way.
In addition to general practice with individuals, couples and family work, my specialty areas are grief and loss (including both normative and complicated mourning), anxiety and depression, addiction and trauma survivorship.
I accept insurance assignment and am an empaneled provider with several insurance plans, including Medicare and United Health Care. I will also work on a sliding scale for those clients carrying plans for which I am non-participating, in order to meet any deductible affordably, or for those clients who are uninsured or under-insured.
