I have been licensed since 1992 and have worked in the mental health field for decades helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, relationship struggles, and mental health crises. My approach to therapy is practical, direct, supportive, and focused on helping clients create meaningful change in their lives.
I have also taught counseling and psychology courses at several colleges and universities throughout the United States, which has strengthened my commitment to evidence-based care, education, and lifelong learning in the mental health field.
I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and solution-focused techniques to help clients develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and better manage stress and difficult life transitions.
