I'm taking new Telehealth clients. My ideal client is someone who may be having difficulties with personal relationships, depression, anxiety, stresses of life, or workplace issues. Counseling is about helping people find hope for life's difficulties and ways to cope with struggles. My clients may need to restore relationships, and find new meaning in their life and work. I provide Christian, spiritual, and secular counseling with the aim of helping clients draw on the strength of their faith to better cope when they are feeling out of control.
Two of my specialties are working with couples experiencing infidelity and family members impacted by domestic violence. I help couples recover from infidelity using a forgiveness/re-trusting approach and clients impacted by domestic violence using the power/control dynamic and experience helping both victims and perpetrators.
The challenges of life can be complicated, overwhelming, and cause a sense of losing control. My counseling approach is to create a safe place giving clients opportunities to self-assess and learn self-regulation skills. In this way, clients can draw on their own resources to cope with relationships, find their purpose and better understand inner struggles.
