Change is usually difficult and often scary. My job is to help you figure out what you want to change, and what you are okay with leaving the same. Therapy should be a place where you can share your feelings without judgment or shame. We live in a world where that isn’t always welcome or encouraged, and therapy is a place to do just that. I love helping people figure out what might be going wrong in their lives in order to both better understand themselves, to better understand their relationships, and to get to the root of their issues.
I often see clients who have demanding professional lives and may be struggling with balancing the demands of their career and their relationships. My style is warm, yet direct. Gently challenging, but always kind and empathetic. I know therapy can feel like a daunting step, but the spark of curiosity that led you here is something to pay attention to.
Before my work as a therapist, I worked in the entertainment industry for many years working with creative people. I got my master’s degree from California State University, Northridge, and previously trained at StrengthUnited working with trauma survivors, and Mitchell Family Counseling Clinic working with adults, couples, families, and children.
