About
Bottom line, I believe we are all here to learn all we can during our time here in the Earth school. I seek to serve couples, families and individuals addressing life adjustment issues including relationship conflict, developmental concerns, functional issues related to head or brain injury and efforts to increase self-actualization. I have been practicing as a licensed psychologist for more than thirty-five years; I have provided care and supervised services in mental health and psychiatric hospitals as well as correctional settings and hold specializations in forensic psychology and neuropsychology.
I have extensive experience addressing addiction and recovery related concerns and issues and their many effects on individuals and families, and recently published a book OPIOID ODYSSEY. I believe that short-term or intermittent therapeutic interventions may be as effective or more effective than long term therapy that is focused on adjustment issues.
I seek to understand and address psychological and emotional concerns from a systemic perspective, considering an individual's environment as well as their personal history and influences. I sometimes utilize neuropsychological tests to assess an individual's capacities.
