My name is Michael Hope, and I’m an experienced counselor specializing in trauma, trauma-related issues, and co-occurring disorders. I have lived experience in these areas and help clients in Washington navigate mental health and addiction challenges. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my three kids and three dogs, going on road trips, and relaxing at the beach. I use trauma-informed therapies, including EMDR, to help clients overcome PTSD, addiction, anxiety, depression, and more. Healing is possible, and I’m here to help.
In addition to evidence-based forms of traditional and faith-based therapy, I am an Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) practitioner. ART is a highly effective treatment that combines elements of EMDR, cognitive-behavioral and brief psychodynamic techniques to help with PTSD, anxiety, grief, and many other mental health concerns - typically in 1-3 sessions.
