Hi, I am Michael Henning LISW. I focused on establishing a professional, healthy rapport with clients while helping clients with anxiety, coping with depression, suicidal thoughts and traumas. I work hard to be an ally to the LGBTQ community as I have worked with several clients and have friends who are a part of the community.
My therapeutic approaches are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Collaborative Assessment of Suicidality (CAMS), mindfulness as well as pull from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I began in college working with people who had various struggles with their mental health such as struggling with schizophrenia, Bipolar, and with suicidal thoughts, through this job and the relationships that I developed, a passion was developed where I work hard to advocate while also assisting others.
