Do you feel like your mind is racing or overwhelmed? Does life feel too complex to navigate? Are you struggling to feel in control, and like your thoughts are controlling you? These are common experiences that I aim to help you overcome through a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-based approaches. Steeped in time honored traditions such as Zen Buddhism and Meditation, my therapy aims to simplify. I work with all people and backgrounds, but I mainly have experience working with adults dealing with addiction, anxiety, depression and experiencing life transitions.
From our first session, I will assess your needs and do my best to understand where you are in life. From there, we will identify effective strategies that you can start using right away, so as to move toward a more manageable and balanced life. These solutions will aid towards handling challenges and bringing a sense of calm to the chaos.
I am a family man who enjoys simple things such as running, playing video games and going out with my wife and daughter. I also enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons on the weekends. In addition to my clinical work, I have over six years of experience as a clinical supervisor, and have been an MSW professor for the past four years.

Psychological Analysis of Film and TV
Each week we will dive into pre-selected films and TV episodes to explore psychological, philosophical, and spiritual themes found throughout these mediums. I will use my expertise and knowledge in these domains to help guide the conversation, while working with you to elicit your own subjective impressions from from the viewing of the week. Through this practice I plan to open up your creative spark of ideas. As you begin to understand film and TV from various perspectives, I guarantee you will begin to understand more of yourself and the creative way that you view the world around you.
