I specialize in couples counseling and men’s issues. For Couples: I help you use existing strengths in a process of Calming, Listening, Recommitting and Problem-Solving. This work exposes deep wounds beneath the conflict. Healing those wounds is the victory you need. For Men: whether your struggle is relational, depression, anxiety, substance use or another, we can interrupt the repeating cycle with new habits, thoughts, behaviors, faith and relationships. I have been married 35 years, with 4 grown children. I have had 3 careers including USAF pilot, software development and therapist+chaplain. I believe I can help you.
Relationship is my top priority. I deeply listen with empathy and patience. I search for themes, strengths and solutions that come from within. I assess using family history, discovering cycles and patterns, uncovering shame and false beliefs. Solutions emerge from reconciling you to others, to yourself, to your faith, to your losses and to your past.
You can have a different experience of counseling. My first two careers (Air Force pilot and software development startup) implanted a painful and personal understanding of real-world problems.
