I am an individual, couples and family therapist with more than twenty years experience treating couples issues, adolescent and family problems, grief and bereavement, depression and adjustment problems.
My primary goal as a therapist is to help my clients effectively meet and respond to the issues and problems of their lives, either in their roles as parents, spouses, or teenagers.
I work hard to understand each client and family member's dilemmas and struggles, and to create an atmosphere of trust so that each session provides a place where one is heard, understood and supported.
I have a great deal of experience in marital and family issues including couple communication and conflict, concerns regarding child-rearing and adolescent struggles, and problems with setting priorities for couple and family life. I have a great deal of experience working with grief, loss and bereavement counseling for individuals, couples and families.
I believe successful therapy is a process helping to create "real world" effects. Clients can become more confident in their roles, more satisfied in their relationships, and more aware of how their past lives have shaped them. It is a shared experience in which the client can explore how life can be more satisfying and fulfilling.
