I believe meaning is built through the connections we experience, the emotions that fortify them, and the mindfulness we use along the way. I work well with clients who struggle with personality and mood disorders, including bipolar, depression, and BPD using modalities such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). I am also equipped to treat PTSD through the use of CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Additionally, I am a member of WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) and Certified in DBT.
If you are going through a life transition, changes to your routine, coming out, grief, trauma, or general adjustments, the fear of the unknown can cause much distress. There is no right or wrong timeframe for the events that happen in life. A large focus of my therapy includes working through maladaptive behaviors and beliefs to achieve desired outcomes.
