Relationships can both hurt and heal us. Because of this, I stress the importance of a strong, caring therapeutic relationship. In the context of that relationship, I encourage patients to discuss their feelings and experiences, both past and present. We then engage in a collaborative dialogue that allows for inquiry into why patients feel the way they do and what factors have influenced their development into who they are and how they experience life. In doing so, they can often feel better about themselves, their relationships, and their place in the world.
I am trained in a wide range of evidence-based treatment modalities, and my approach is based on a solid foundation of clinical theory. Having been intensively trained in DBT, I am especially adept at helping highly sensitive people.
I love being a psychotherapist and am deeply committed to helping people live life with less pain. I work with adults and couples to address issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, relational difficulties, and life transitions. Please email me with any questions to determine if we would work well together!
