Hello, I am Dr. Mike, I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for 28 Years. I have helped many individuals, couples and families resolved whatever issues that have had successfully. These issues spanned the spectrum from Behavioral to infidelity, including substance abuse.
I am a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, but I am eclectic in my performance as a therapist. I have enjoyed working with all my clients over the years, even the tough ones. Normally in the first session I ask, "What is it you want to accomplish in treatment?" Getting acquainted and finding out what the issues are and what goals the client has therapy.
I have had a varied background from being in the military as a combat soldier to working in the gaming industry. I was going through a divorce and was no longer satisfied with the gaming industry. I started exploring my other options with my education and it was suggested that I explore counseling, which I did and was immediately attracted to it.
