Hi! I'm Michael Evans, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in homeless services, psychiatric inpatient and outpatient settings, and medical settings. I hope to come alongside you in your journey towards healing, growth, and change. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, grief, and severe mental illness. I'm a firm believer that each person is unique and deserves a unique approach to their symptoms. I am here to help create that unique approach alongside you.
I use a client-centered approach, and I believe that you already have everything you need in order to make the changes you want. Behind the client-centred approach, I have an eclectic theoretical orientation as I will pull from CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative, and IFS as indicated and necessary.
I always hope to create a safe environment characterized by warmth, space, and care while still maintaining goal orientation. I will be direct as necessary but also believe in holding space and allowing my client to lead.
