Relationships in love, family and work (and with myself) shape so much of how we feel. I help people know themselves and what they bring (good and bad) to their relationships, and help build cognitive and other skills needed to form rewarding connections and sort out relationship breakdowns and chronic personal problems. In addition, I help those who have had tried therapy or medication in the past but have not been helped. I work with individuals and couples by listening carefully and responding thoughtfully, genuinely and respectfully to create positive outcomes and to meet important needs.
I help by teaming with you to identify and work toward filling unmet needs or resolving stuck problems. Creating success in relationships sets up relief. Physical, cognitive, psychological and environmental factors can be shaped to create positive, upward cycles. New understanding can open possibilities for positive, healing change.
I am deeply invested in those I work with and use my experience to identify the roots of complex issues and address them with compassion. I join with you in a warm, safe environment to come to understand and then take the steps needed to leave frustrations and disappointments behind, moving instead toward the brightness of potential, hope and relief.
