Using insight-oriented and cognitive-behavioral approaches, I have developed an effective psychotherapeutic technique that has helped individuals gain relief from symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, uncontrollable anger, obsessive compulsive disorder, alcohol/substance abuse, and child acting-out behaviors.
I am a Licensed Psychologist and a member of the American Psychological Association and the California Psychological Association. My clinical focus is in providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults. I see individuals, couples and families.
I specialize in treating OCD. I was trained at the Behavioral Therapy Institute to provide cognitive behavioral therapy treatment. I authored the study "Accommodating the patient's obsessive compulsive rituals: Characteristics of the accommodator." Findings were presented at APA's annual meeting in 2000. Professional member of Obsessive Compulsive Foundation.
I specialize in treating adolescents. I've worked with adolescents in outpatient settings, and at public and private jr. high and high schools. I have helped my adolescent and young adult clients reach their potentials through individual and family therapy, and through consultation with school staff and psychiatric hospital staff.
