I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul. - William Henley. People want to feel in control. But, when people experience internal or external change, and resist such, they can feel a loss of control. I use Psychodynamic therapy to identify subconscious thoughts and feelings, CBT to challenged irrational thoughts and feelings, and Existential therapy to redefine the meaning of past or present experiences.
I have worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient, residential, and inpatient; and with a variety of populations. Presently, I specialize in adolescents and adults experiencing depressive, anxiety, or personality symptoms.
My communication is focused on thoughtful, honest, and compassionate feedback. Furthermore, I like to engage in back-and-forth discussion.
