I believe that listening is crucial in counseling; listening not just to words, but also for feelings. Sometimes people seek therapy to clarify their thoughts and emotions; or they may be looking for specific strategies to find relief from worry or sadness, or for help with a relationship. My experience and training in multiple modes of psychotherapy allows me to help people with these concerns. While starting counseling may seem scary, it can be the first step toward feeling happier and less worried.
My areas of expertise include anxiety disorders, especially panic and OCD; depression and bipolar disorder; and ADHD. I provide individual, family, and marital counseling for adults, teens, and children older than 10. My experience as a school counselor enables me to help parents and children address school concerns.
Located in Phillipsburg, N.J., my office is convenient to northwestern New Jersey and to the Lehigh Valley. By operating an individual practice, I am able to be involved in every step of the therapy process, from first contact to the beginning of sessions, making the experience personal and confidential.
