Michael Anne Conley, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Somatic Psychotherapist: I have drawn from my holistic and somatic approach to wellness to support clients for decades. My Habits Into Health framework is a depth-oriented, skills-based process that helps clients find recovery from chronic health and addiction issues — as well as the trauma they have in common.
Many of my clients are working professionals, mostly women, ages mid-30s into their 60s. If they’re in relationships or married, they usually have children. A number of my clients ask for my help in sorting out issues in their relationships with partners, family members, co-workers, and supervisors.
Clients who like my work say that they like and want interaction. So I’m a sounding board, and there’s back-and-forth. I very much support my clients in self-exploration and self-empowerment and encourage them to find their own rhythm and follow it as best as they can, rather than trying to follow anyone else’s, including me.
