About
Micaela is a passionate, empathetic therapist whose approach is based in collaboration, humor, and the therapeutic relationship. As a multi-racial, cis-gender woman, Micaela strives to utilize her privilege to advocate for changes in oppressive systems. Micaela understands the importance of tackling the intersectional identities of those with whom she works. She strives to practice therapy in a compassionate manner and to practice critical self-awareness, through eliciting feedback throughout the therapeutic process.
She brings an anti-oppressive approach and has spent the last eight years working primarily with those experiencing trauma and gender-based violence. Micaela has worked with a variety of persons including: youth in foster care, members of the BI-POC community, those engaged in sex work, and survivors of gender-based violence.
I do not accept insurance at this time. Client's who desire to grow in their understanding of themselves and continue to move forward even through the hard things do well with me.
