Hello! My name is Mia, and I am a master’s level counselor at Creating Pathways Counseling. I hold a BA in Clinical Psychology from Trinity Christian College and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Governors State University. As a counselor, my goal is to provide my clients with a supportive and safe environment to help them on their journey of self-discovery.
I am a somatic therapist (which is a body-oriented trauma-focused modality) that utilizes play therapy techniques, mindfulness, expressive arts, sand-tray, and movement. I work with children aged four and up, adolescents, & adults who present with: anxiety/depression/ disassociation/ acute trauma/ PTSD/Infertility/ PND& PPD/anger/self-harm/suicidality.
Coming and seeking counseling is a very challenging decision to make. It takes a lot of courage and strength to admit that one is in need of support. But we are all on a different journey, each with its own challenges. And as our paths cross, know that a safe space will always be waiting for you here.
