Most people who visit a therapist know that there is something they want to change, but they may not know how. Sometimes feelings of anxiety or depression, problems with relationships, challenges at work, or other social difficulties are difficult to understand and resolve without help. In therapy, my goal is to help you foster greater self-understanding and develop strategies to live a more fulfilling life.
Ideally, therapy guides you to your own best solutions. We will work together to explore why you're feeling discomfort and identify the tools that work best for you as an individual. This approach empowers you to make the right choices for yourself as you move toward finding inner peace and ultimately, happiness.
It is important to feel comfortable throughout the therapeutic process. My approach integrates therapeutic techniques with empathy and humor in a safe and supportive environment. Some common issues I have assisted clients with include life transitions, anxiety, depression, anger management, codependency, attention deficit/concentration issues, academic/school problems, parenting skills and trauma history issues.
