Pursuing and going to therapy can be uncomfortable, scary, and exhausting. It takes a tremendous amount of courage and willingness. Living with and carrying emotional pain can be lonely and in therapy we will navigate this and work towards healing together. We will process how the past and unconscious resurface in the present causing distress in various areas including family, relationships, work, mental health, etc. As we do this work and build an open and trusting relationship, we can develop insights, bring about change, and further healing.
My approach is to provide an open, nonjudgmental, and warm environment. I am a witness to your experiences and start where you are. I am a psychodynamic therapist and pull from other frames including object relations, feminist, internal family systems, and dialectical behavior therapy.
Challenging ourselves and processing our past is difficult work and I will be there with you. I have over 10 years experience working with attachments and relationships, family conflict, low self worth, trauma, depression, and sexuality. I do individual sessions for adults ages 18 and over.
