My approach to OCD treatment is collaborative. I want to empower members to make decisions in their treatment. We'll break things down into manageable challenges rather than taking it all on at once. At NOCD, my team and I provide personalized and effective specialized treatment for OCD and related conditions, such as BFRBs (including skin-picking, nail-biting, and hair-pulling). Our understanding of the nuances of these conditions enables us to diagnose and treat them properly. We have received training in evidence-based treatments, including Exposure Response and Prevention (ERP) therapy—the gold standard treatment for OCD.

I believe that most mental health struggles are the result of the places we come from, the identities we have, and the way we were raised. Whether anxiety, disordered eating, posttraumatic stress, or gender dysphoria, mental health issues are most often adaptive responses to dysfunctional situations. Together, my goal is to help build insight into the reasons why you're feeling the way you do and find new ways to navigate the world.

I am passionate about working with fellow members of the LGBTQ+ community. I have extensive experience providing support to individuals questioning their gender and/or sexual orientation. Mental health, much like sexuality and gender, exists along a spectrum. Things fluctuate and shift, sometimes causing struggle. I aim to help you navigate that struggle and build skills to feel more confident as you work toward improved wellness.

Are you looking for therapy sessions from the comfort of your own home or private place at work? I’ve been practicing since 2018, having had the unique opportunity to work with various clinics and gained additional clinical experience during my practicum with the University of Michigan–Dearborn. In 2024, I founded my own private practice to create a more relaxed, supportive therapy experience—one that feels genuine.

Are you often not getting what you want out of your relationships? Are you feeling guilt and shame far more than contentment or pride? Are you and your spouse feeling trapped in conflict that feels unresolvable? I collaborate with individuals and couples in addressing the causal factors underlying conditions like anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship dis-satisfaction. I completed an internship and a two year fellowship at University of Michigan Outpatient Psychiatry, where I had the unique opportunity to develop expertise in providing integrative, attachment-oriented therapy for both adults and parents of young children.

Do you experience depression, anxiety, adhd, cptsd, relationship issues, gender dysphoria, questions about sexual identity, academic/work concerns, family issues, and/or stressful life circumstances? My clients are coping with the same concerns and have found working with me to be an invaluable support. My approach works from the belief that current symptoms are often related to previous experiences, and that developing new understandings of those experiences are the keys to lasting relief. I believe that healing happens not just by telling your story, but also, through the sense that you've been heard, felt, and understood.

Being a human being can be quite challenging! There's a saying about the mind: 'the mind is a good servant, but a cruel taskmaster!' Many of us never learned how to calm our minds, limit our worrying, and self-soothe. Mindfulness training is one of the most researched methods for learning to do this. My work with individuals helps them to become skilled in this way, and to lessen the grip of attitudes and beliefs that limit us in significant ways. I work with individuals in this way, as well as with groups.

It’s through connection that we find meaning and discover we're not alone. I love working with clients who are curious and ready for positive change. I use Internal Family Systems, EMDR and other evidence-based tools to help my clients navigate their own process of self-exploration, resolve trauma, and move toward growth and fulfillment. I believe therapy is an opportunity to explore what is unsaid or undiscovered in our experience. We can learn to hold space for the parts of ourselves most in need of our attention and appreciation so we can truly live our most fulfilled life.

A core part of humanity is to feel belonging. Many people experience that most intensely during childhood from their family and friends. As we grow older we develop other relationships that give us that sense of belonging. When you experience injuries to those relationships it can leave yo feeling isolated and depressed. When those injuries happen during childhood it is referred to as developmental trauma. But trauma is not a life sentence, in fact what many people don't know is that post-traumatic growth is more common than Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I work with individuals and families who want to understand trauma and grow.

My aim is to aid my mentees on moving from compromised to optimized states. Many individuals I connect with maintain survival and coping mechanisms for years until they choose to inquire about thriving. Change is often sabotaged despite desire for growth due to uninterrupted subconscious cognitive loops. In our sit downs, we will assess various dimensions of your current experiences and explore techniques that can enhance psychological flexibility and detachment from unnecessary suffering. I specialize in treating various substance and process addictions with a focus on human performance and alignment.

PTSD sucks. It keeps you up at night, makes it hard to relax even on the weekends and drains the happiness out of life. No matter how hard you try you can't help feeling triggered and jumpy. It can make you feel ticked off at the smallest things. You might be withdrawing from others and wanting to shut down because you're losing hope it'll get better. This can lead to depression, anxiety, addictions, relationship problems and more. If it feels like you're going through the motions and barely holding it together, you're in the right place. Helping trauma survivors is my passion.
