I love supporting adults, teens, and children carrying anxiety, depression, grief, or the weight of past trauma, people who are exhausted from holding it all together alone. They come to me at a turning point, ready for something to finally change. My own healing journey brought me to this work, and that lived experience shapes every session. I show up with honesty, warmth, and zero judgement that’s what actually makes change possible. Using CBT, mindfulness, & somatic approaches, I help clients understand their mind and body, set real goals, & build tools they will use long after our sessions end. I am accepting new clients.

Something isn't working: in your relationship, in your body, or in your sense of who you are sexually. Maybe you've tried to talk about it and haven't found the right words. Maybe you've never said it out loud at all. That's exactly where this work begins. I'm a Certified Sex Therapist seeing individuals and couples in Connecticut, New York, and Michigan. I specialize in the things that are hardest to say: pain during sex, low desire, mismatched libidos, intimacy that has quietly disappeared, and the changes that come with menopause, trauma, or major life transition. Virtual only. Schedule a free consultation from my website.

Have you found traditional talk therapy to be less helpful? Or are you open to exploring new pathways to healing? You might feel disconnected from your body, yet desire to be more present in your life. Perhaps you feel a change needs to be made, but you struggle to pinpoint or commit to making that change.

I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and integrate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT), and relational/psychodynamic techniques.
Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, or stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand? I've found that individuals who come to therapy for anxiety, depression, relationship stress or burnout, begin to notice that earlier life experiences, chronic stress, or relational wounds may still be shaping how they think, feel, and respond today. You do not need to label your experiences as “trauma” to begin therapy. Together, we explore what’s impacting you now and work toward greater emotional stability, clarity, and self-trust.

Perhaps you’ve always felt that there’s some piece missing but you can’t put your finger on it, or that you have a calling that you haven’t discovered yet. You feel things strongly. You may have been told that you feel things too much, or that you are too much. Maybe you’re looking for a better way to live with anxiety, depression, a trauma history, or an illness you can’t make sense of. Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
