Come on in, have a seat, and let's talk. Life’s struggles can sometimes feel overwhelming or impossible. Trauma, anxiety, and depression are just a few of the things that hold us back from living our lives to the fullest. I'm here to listen, and I'm here to help. I take an empathetic, non-judgmental, and sometimes humorous approach while working with clients to help them reach their goals. I have worked with adults, adolescents, and kids with a wide range of mental health disorders. My aim is to understand your unique situation and work together so that you can take that next step with confidence!

I offer a very personalized approach to counseling. I believe in the power of a person's story and how that story has brought them to where they are at presently. I work from an integrated person-centered approach. One size/technique does NOT fit all in counseling. Moreover, I'm a believer in the therapeutic relationship being the key ingredient to effective therapy. I work with issues such as: grief, depression , anxiety, chronic-pain, panic, school issues and much more. Counseling is not the easy way through a life concern; it takes work and commitment. I promise to offer a safe, non-judgmental space for self-exploration.

I specialize in depression , anxiety, ADHD, relational issues and life transitions in adolescents and adults.
Life brings about all ranges of human emotion and reaction. As we are all individuals, we have different perspectives on the challenges that tend to suddenly appear at our doorstep. It is a powerful realization to recognize when those experiences become too overwhelming to manage alone. Through a variety of psychodynamic, humanistic and behavioral theories, I work to use an integrative approach to therapeutic intervention in order to fit the treatment to the individual.

In todays climate it is not uncommon to have anxiety, depression , or even find yourself turning to substances that maybe you have not in the past. I recognize that not only adults, but our children are having to face mental health issues, that before may not have been on their radar. I recognize these mental health issues are on the rise and you just may need someone to talk to or process your world around you with all these stressors. I have worked in hospice for a decade, helping patients and families navigate the end of life process, as well as work with trauma patients from military experience and auto accidents.

Therapy is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself. Everyone has a past and carries some form of baggage with them. The issues from the past that remain unresolved impact multiple areas of our lives from our personal contentment to our interpersonal relationships. Once a client understands the underlying cause of their anxiety, depression , hurt, fears, etc., they can come to a place of acceptance and move forward minimizing the impact these issues have on the present. Our goal is to help each client find healing in order to live fully and authentically in the present.

It is an extremely brave step to enter into therapy. I am truly honored to be invited into the lives of my clients. I provide a safe non-judgmental atmosphere where my clients feel comfortable exploring their innermost thoughts and feelings. My work focuses on stress, anxiety, depression , anger, relationship problems, self-esteem, PTSD, and many others.
NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. For the past 18 years, I've had the privilege of helping people of all ages through life challenges and heal from difficult experiences. Clients experience long-term change, due to interventions that are healing, supportive, and empowering. Trust and safety are established in an environment where people can feel understood, respected, and never judged, which is the most important thing to me to provide, as a therapist. Asking for help can be difficult and takes courage. I admire anyone willing to explore therapy as an opportunity for growth and healing.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
