Does anxiety and fear keep you from enjoying yourself and time with others? Do you shy away from people because you aren't confident in yourself and in what you have to offer? There is hope. We all have to find a way to be resilient in the face of life’s challenges and we all develop different strategies to accomplish this task but sometimes we need help in broadening those strategies. I can help by broadening your understanding of your unique situation and problems by providing an empathic and compassionate space to really look at why life has yet to fulfill you in the way you would like.

I’d like to invite you to make yourself at home in the most holistic way possible. This is your time and opportunity to sit one-on-one with a skilled therapist and create a confidential space to share your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I provide psychological assessment and treatment to adolescents – mature adults suffering from anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, family challenges, and life transitions. I see each individual as one-of-a-kind and use that mentality to tailor a unique treatment plan created just for you. I am currently seeing clients via telehealth, and I am happy to set up a free 15 minute consultation.

Hi my name is Dr. Andrea Morrison. I have had over 20 years experience helping people with a multitude of concerns and worries. I have been a Licensed Psychologist for 15 years first with my masters then obtaining my Doctorate. When you are filling out a checkbox for what you are looking for in a therapist or a client it was ironic to me. I have always been person-centered with a solution-focused approach. My main approach is CBT but EACH person is unique in their needs. I meet them where they are, learn where they want to be and tailor the treatment goals in that manner. In that sense, I am eclectic and diverse in my approach.

You are not alone. Life can be complicated and I can help you sort through whatever you are going through. We look for quick, easy answers. There are times when relief comes in an instant but most often it happens over time in the context of a trusting relationship. There is freedom in talking to someone who is not connected to your world of people.

Vivian Greene wrote that "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain." My hope is that my clients can learn to dance in the rain. My goal is to help them to learn how. Each and every client has a special goal and I am willing to incorporate a variety of techniques to get them to that goal. As a therapist, I continually go to trainings and workshops to improve my practice. I am able to incorporate all of the strategies to create a path for each client.

Seeking therapy for yourself can be complex and multi-layered. Finding a therapist you connect with is essential. I work interactively and collaboratively to support you at your pace while helping you move toward the fullest expression of the life you wish to lead. I value and utilize a trauma-informed lens wherein I aim to co-create a safe holding environment where the changes you hope for can occur. The therapeutic relationship is the backdrop for investigation, integration, and healing with openness, curiosity, self-compassion, and tenderness. Dissociative Disorders (DID) Therapists
Dissociative Disorders are conditions that involve the breakdown of memory. Dissociation is a mental process that produces a lack of connection in our thoughts, a separation of emotions, physical sensations, memories, actions or even our sense of identity. Most of us experience mild dissociation in our everyday lives. We call it daydreaming, getting lost in a movie or a book, or driving home on autopilot. These examples of dissociation are normal, and are a mild form of amnesia. Dissociation can become a disorder when it begins during a person's developmental years and becomes habitual and ingrained.
