Finding help shouldn't be difficult, but it is, and I want to make that process easy for you, from the first contact. I have more than twenty years experience in behavioral medicine, and more than 30 years in helping professions. Using a wide range of expertise and training I treat diverse concerns of pre- teen through older adult clients. By varying treatment with a number of approaches, I strive to tailor therapy to the person, not just the problems identified. I work with mood and anxiety disorders, chronic pain and illness, trauma, addictions, eating and weight issues, and more.

I work with adolescent , adult, and elderly individuals and groups.
Are you experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, or shame? Or undergoing personal, professional, and academic life transitions? I specialize in working with youth, adolescents, and middle aged and older adults, individually and in groups who struggle to cope during these difficult times. Additionally, financial, mental, physical, emotional, and identity crises require compassion and skills to grow. I also work with adults who are physically or mentally disabled and have chronic health needs, including epilepsy. My goal is to help people find hope, direction, meaning, and fulfilment, and teach skills to improve mental health.

At one time or another all of us face something in our life holding us back from what we want to accomplish. Over the past 10 years, I have learned whatever is holding us back usually comes in forms of self-defeating thoughts alongside emotional dysregulation that is strengthened with habitually repeated cycles. Emotionally defeating our sense of self and over thinking unfortunately goes together. Our thoughts can seem so powerful, so true. When bodies agree, we have a connection. I can help you break the connection that is no longer working. When we remove, we replace. Let the new cycle begin! Give me a call if you're ready!

**I am doing telehealth and in person appointments. When you are faced with challenges, conflicts and loss, it can be difficult to overcome on your own. I believe we all have the strength and knowledge inside of us, we just need a little help finding it, and we all need someone with whom we can express ourselves. Life challenges can bring us to a place where support from a neutral and caring professional can make a needed difference. Counseling can help you get to a place of recovery, peace and empowerment.

**Accepting new clients** Strong people ask for help, knowing that everybody has a story and within each of us lies the ability to examine the past so we can move into the future. I encourage you to ask yourself not "what's wrong with me ?" but rather, "what happened to me?" Stop thinking "I need therapy" and start focusing on "I want therapy." Therapy is not about mental illness - it's about mental health. Focus on the fact that therapy is an experience that is normal, natural and a journey others have navigated. Life presents all of us with challenges but if we meet the challange and learn from it then we also grow from it.

Life is full of many challenges and we all need a community of support to navigate it. I want to be part of that community for you. During the course of our strenuous daily lives, it's often difficult to find time to devote to invest in yourself. Worse, when new demands arrive unexpectedly, it can feel like that time is the easiest thing to sacrifice. When we work together, in a safe, open, strength-based environment, that investment will be our only focus, free from competition by any other demand. You will guide your experience from beginning to end.

I can help you recognize feelings, thoughts, and emotions that are keeping you from meeting your potential. Meeting with me, you may notice I ask a lot of questions and am interested in your perspective on problems you wish to change. Teen Therapists
Adolescence can be a time of both disorientation and discovery. The transitional period can raise questions of independence and identity; as adolescents cultivate their sense of self, they may face difficult choices about academics, friendship, sexuality, gender identity, drugs, and alcohol.

Most teens have a relatively egocentric perspective on life; a state of mind that usually abates with age. They often focus on themselves and believe that everyone else—from a best friend to a distant crush—is focused on them too. They may grapple with insecurities and feelings of being judged. Relationships with family members often take a backseat to peer groups, romantic interests, and appearance, which teens perceive as increasingly important during this time.

The transition can naturally lead to anxiety about physical development, evolving relationships with others, and one's place in the larger world. Mild anxiety and other challenges are typical, but serious mental health conditions also emerge during adolescence.
