About
I have experience working with all ages, specifically children and their parents going through life transitions, family issues and those that are dealing with anxiety or depression. The focus of most of my work is related to autism, trauma, and self-esteem. I am here to help families work through their concerns; whether they are related to a new diagnosis or an unexpected life event. Through the counseling process it is hoped that we discover how to find solutions to help with life's difficult issues and surprises. I believe we have the ability to grow through what we are going through, and it is my role to empower you to do so.
I believe that the therapeutic process is fostered by building a trusting and empathetic relationship. Establishing rapport helps me better understand presenting concerns, as well as helps me choose with methods to integrate into sessions. As an art therapist, I can help integrate art as a therapeutic tool in session, especially when words are hard to find.
Change can be hard, and seeking help can be intimidating. You are here, and that in itself is brave. I believe having a person to process life with that has no biased opinions can be a validating and empowering experience. As your therapist, I hope I can be that person, and I look forward to helping you throughout this journey called life.
