My focus has been on supporting individuals facing a wide range of mental health and substance use challenges, with a specialization in treating anxiety, depression, and substance use-related issues.

Lynnel Brewster is the Clinical Director at Sanford Behavioral Health. She has worked in the health field for 24 years. She is a registered nurse as well as a licensed professional counselor. Lynnel’s years of experience include working in hospital and home settings, residential addiction treatment centers, and private practice. Lynnel also has her limited license in marriage and family therapy. In addition, sh is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Lynnel has counseled groups, families, and individuals with substance use and co-occurrng disorders. She is backed by a mulitdimentional team of clinical and medical professionals.

We feel pain in many ways; worry, anger, confusion, and sadness. Our past has taught us how to respond to these feelings. Problems start when the way we have learned to cope is no longer working for us. My goal is to help identify thoughts, emotions, and action patterns. I promote mindfulness, art therapy, mind-body connection, and cognitive behavioral change. From there, we can collaborate to work toward your goals and find a more fulfilling way to live.

Kassidy is a clinical health psychologist who focuses on creating a safe environment and forming authentic connections with her clients. Kassidy is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and has experience with selective mutism, anxiety, depression, adjustment, psychotic disorders, neurocognitive disorders, and chronic health conditions. She enjoys working with adults and LGBTQ+ populations. Kassidy provides individual counseling services in the Grand Haven and Norton Shores offices and also provides psychological testing services.
