After being a psychotherapist for 30 years, learning and growing on the journey, I now am passionate about supporting my clients to open to learning about all the aspects of themselves, dark and light, and bringing love and acceptance to it all. It is here that we find true happiness and purpose. Through awareness, we find our way to ceasing judgement and the eternal push to find happiness outside of ourselves.. And as we learn to be in the present moment, we develop valuable skills for self regulation and resilience, freeing us to live the life of our dreams.

I earned my Masters degree in both clinical/community and school counseling, and a Masters degree in secondary education. I taught for 11 years, incorporating much adolescent, group, and family counseling during that time. I have expanded to counseling individuals and couples of all ages, including families.

Life can be overwhelming at times for all of us. I recognize the strength that it can take to identify that and then ask for help. I appreciate the courage and strength it takes to be vulnerable with others, especially someone new. I welcome clients to my office by letting them set the pace for therapy. I specialize in insight oriented psychotherapy as well as a brief form of solution focused counseling and coaching. I serve as Executive Director of PCS, with outpatient clinics in Northville and Brighton, where I provide individuals,couples, and families with an integrated therapy which combines cognitive behavioral and psychoanalytic approaches.

I avoid "cookbook" approaches, and use evidence & strength-based psychotherapy & counseling to guide adults, youth, families & couples to achieve their own positive solutions.I enjoy helping young adults, teens, & other helping professionals/educators deal with life stressors effectively.

Welcome! I began my work in the addiction, mental health, and recovery fields approximately two decades ago. I strongly believe in the impact addiction and mental health concerns have on the entire family and in the recovery of family system as a whole. My passion for recovery continues to lead me to work with both those suffering from addiction and mental health concerns and their families in multiple arenas.
