Now accepting new clients Being the one everyone counts on can feel like a lot—but asking for what you need can feel even harder. You might come across as confident and capable in your work, yet feel uncertain or guarded in your closest relationships. You want deeper connection, but sometimes hold back in ways that leave you feeling invisible, alone, or even resentful. You can identify your patterns—whether it’s avoiding conflict, struggling with attachment, or getting in your own way—but actually living differently feels like the next big step.

I'm a therapist with over 8 years of experience helping teens and young adults work through life's challenges and grow.
Life can feel overwhelming when you’re trying to handle stress, relationships, work, and personal struggles all at once. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Many of the people I work with feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. They may be struggling with stress, anxiety, anger, relationship challenges, or the pressure of trying to handle everything on their own. Some have experienced trauma or difficult life transitions and are looking for healthier ways to cope.

I incorporates traditional talk therapy techniques with carefully selected art media to allow clients to explore personal struggle through color, line and form. It is thru the creative process and the subsequent artwork where I aids clients in beginning their therapeutic journey. Art therapy is an effective therapeutic approach for clients across the lifespan. It can be applied to treat any mental health issues, or life challenge, be it short-term or ongoing. Anyone is a good candidate for art therapy. For many, it can be difficult to talk about complex issues.

I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults with a variety of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, and depression.
My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and compassionate space so that when they are ready, individuals can feel comfortable opening up about their emotions and experiences. In addition to talk therapy, I also offer art therapy as a way to engage the mind and body on a deeper level. I take a nonjudgmental stance and view therapy as a collaborative process. I believe you are the expert on your own life. Together, we will honor your differences, tap into your strengths, and work towards change that is meaningful and important to you.

Trauma may be part of your story, but it does not have to write the rest of it. Many of the individuals and families I work with seek support after experiencing trauma, abuse, neglect, loss, difficult relationships, or major life transitions. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, I provide a safe, compassionate space where your story is met with understanding rather than judgment. My goal is to help clients feel supported, regain hope, and move toward a life that feels more peaceful, connected, and fulfilling.

I specialize in the treatment of adults and adolescents, with focus on a wide range of interpersonal, psychological, and emotional concerns.
I approach therapy from a cognitive-behavioral model. Most of us can’t just “feel better”, but if we focus on shifting patterns of thinking and actions we engage in, significant emotional growth can result. I integrate elements of interpersonal therapy and motivational interviewing to help my clients achieve their goals.

Are you looking for change? Are you seeking to create a life worth living? Perhaps you are tired of your old family dynamics and relationship conflicts that repeat like some not-so-greatest hits. Are you wishing things could be better –better kids, a better spouse, better life? Have you ever gone through a difficult time and tried to “stay positive” but it just didn’t help all that much? Are you struggling to find ways to self-care but everyone else’s needs must come first? Sometimes we just need a little help as we move forward toward creating our best lives. Who will be helpful to you as you press forward?

I have over 10 years of experience helping adults, teens, and families in crisis.
Life is hard, but you don't have to suffer through it alone. If you have been experiencing overwhelming emotions that never seem to get better no matter what you do, I am here to offer the space to explore yourself and move towards a meaningful change together. You may feel stuck in patterns that leave you exhausted, anxious, or disconnected. Rather than only managing symptoms, I’m interested in understanding the root causes beneath them: the experiences, beliefs, and wounds that shaped how you relate to yourself and others.

Life doesn’t always unfold the way we expect, and when it doesn’t, it can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. You might be navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or the weight of past experiences while trying to hold everything together. Even in the midst of that, there’s a part of you that wants clarity, connection, and a way forward. You don’t have to figure it out alone. Healing begins in a space where you feel understood.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
