The majority of my referrals come from attorneys with clients who have engaged in illegal sexual behavior, requesting a 'risk assessment' to estimate future risk which could inform sentencing. Clients also self refer, finding that they have had little success in managing their thoughts and behaviors and have had to live with the anxiety and shame of ultimate discovery. Legal consequences of problematic sexual behavior are not the only negative consequences. Intimate and family relationship dysfunction, as well as mood, work performance issues, and self worth are often negatively impacted.

I enjoy working with children, adults, families and couples. It is important to me that each person I see feels supported, validated, and respectfully challenged during the process of therapy. If you are struggling in certain areas of your life due to mood issues, trauma, unsatisfying patterns or relationship conflicts, it is my privilege to work with you toward achieving your goals, whether spiritual, emotional or relational.

Ernest Hemingway once said, "The world breaks everyone, and afterword, many are strong at the broken places." Life is full of experiences that can be overwhelming and scary. Although at times you may feel like you are broken, with the proper tools and resources, you can mend yourself to become the greatest version of you. I believe in a client centered approach and will base my therapy style on your needs.

Betrayal, boring sex, lack of communication, constant fighting and lack of intimacy are problems I have the expertise to treat. Clients leave here with an increased understanding of vulnerabilities and tools to repair their problems. I also see people who are experiencing anxiety and depression. These problems are causing clients anger, frustration, worry and a general sense of I am unworthy and no good.

ADHD Therapists
Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.

If you're looking for a Monroe ADHD therapist, these professionals provide ADHD therapy and counseling in Monroe.
