We work with neurodivergent clients as well as those struggling with anxiety, depression, medical challenges and addiction and those transitioning out of foster care.
Our team uses a variety of approaches that start with meeting our clients where they are. We help people overcome their challenges on a foundation free of judgement. We understand that healing begins in the presence of acceptance. Beyond that, sometimes people need the support of medications free from stigma. We offer one place for all this.

My focus is women and adult individuals seeking support with trauma, substance use/addiction, co-occurring disorders, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, loss, aging, relationships and co-dependence.
Through my intimate work with clients and families, I've witnessed their amazing strength(s) and resilience. My outpatient therapeutic roles have fueled my continuing passion to serve clients experiencing mental health and substance use concerns, often rooted in early family trauma(s) that continue to manifest and impact their lives in the present.

My areas of expertise include anxiety/depression, alcohol/substance abuse, and relationship struggles.
This Clinician Has Immediate Availability! We all have our own struggles, and it is natural to want to find some kind of relief from what we are going through. Too often though, we frequently find ourselves back at square one over and over again wondering why this keeps happening. Mental Health counseling offers us a chance to finally get unstuck.

I work with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, or other common problems.
Do you feel stuck, like you can’t “level up”? Life doesn’t come with a guidebook, and navigating it can feel overwhelming—especially if you feel like the world isn't built for you. I specialize in working with individuals who identify as neurodivergent or nerdy/geeky. As a diagnosed neurodivergent clinician, my goal continues to be to meet other neurodivergent individuals where they are, closing the gap in talk therapy we have all faced for years.

Are you struggling with things that have happened to you or that you’ve done? That struggle is a normal reaction to abnormal events that may have left you feeling unlike yourself. It becomes consuming, costing you time with loved ones and friends, money, sense of peace, sleep, pleasure, joy, or your health and you want nothing more than to be yourself again; maybe even find yourself for the first time ever. I don't judge and am here to listen and be with whatever is going on with you, to provide a safe holding place for emotions and problems, and, if you’re ready, to facilitate interventions to help you reach your personal goals.

My clients often come to me looking for peace and rebalance after a difficult and sometimes traumatic experience. They are looking for a safe place to unpack everything that has happened and piece it all back together in a way that creates meaningfulness out of the chaos. Often, I work with the whole family structure, as we rarely experience anything purely individually. That might look like helping partners rediscover their feelings for each other or reestablishing appropriate roles and boundaries between partners or parents and their children. Sometimes it is helping those families restructure after a big life change or event.

Anxiety Therapists
When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
