We have a diverse staffing model with 6 licensed female professional counselors, 3 licensed female master social workers and 3 male professional counselors that provide mental health treatment. I have worked in the mental health field since 1989 and in 2016 I began intensive training with a type parts work counseling. This involves a guided process of communicating with aspects of a person’s personality (such as the parts that likes to learn, or the part that wants to act impulsively) as well as self defense parts (such as the parts that procrastinate, that gets defensively angry.) This technique is called Inner Relationship Focusing. Here is a link. Psychotherapy is deep work and requires frequently paced appointments such as once a week or no less than every other week.

That’s why I focus on couples as a whole but also on the individuals within the family unit. I help people work on themselves so that they can have a healthy and happy family. Terri received her Master’s in Counseling from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, where she learned to integrate rigorous biblical studies with the most recent science on mental health. She received the school’s highest honor, the Presidential Award for Academic Achievement and Contribution to the Seminary.
