My goal is to help you discover realistic solutions to problematic patterns of thinking and behaving that are keeping you from feeling your best, and learn coping skills that produce lasting change in order to live a more fulfilling life.

I am a marriage and family counselor with over twelve years of experience in the profession. I believe that every person was designed to flourish and be a part of helping others flourish. I also believe that our past wounds often cripple us, current stress often leaves us feeling stuck and anxiety about the future can diminish our vitality. I work with individuals, couples , children and youth. I would love to journey with you toward vibrant flourishing life.

We (Ben and Taylora Bookie) are a husband and wife team who share a common vision to minister to individuals, couples , and families who need support and encouragement in any area of their lives. We love God and we love people, and out of this love we want to come alongside others to promote wellness and health in all areas of life.

The COVID pandemic has affected everyone. I have 20 years experience developing stress management strategies and I have used that experience to develop "MANAGING COVID STRESS", a program containing twelve strategies that can help you cope during these uncertain times. I also know that your life continues even in the midst of COVID and I am eager to use my 30 years experience to help with your unique challenges. I specialize in working with adults on issues of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, job stress, chronic illness, grief and loss, spirituality and trauma.

I wholeheartedly believe we are not meant to do life alone, so my hope is to ensure no client feels alone in their struggle, story, or experience. I believe any life change is a transition and opportunity for growth, a process that is unbelievably full of potential. I seek to provide a nurturing environment of compassion, kindness, and hope. I have over ten years of experience working with children and families through foster care, residential, juvenile, community and school settings. I know change happens at various stages of life and hope to be there for you during your journey.

I believe that peace and quality of life is achieved by working in reverse. That is, going inward to rediscover the divinity that rests in you. My objective is to encourage clients to use their strengths and resources to recognize their inner wisdom, thus allowing them to become their authentic self. Working together, we can identify barriers to wellbeing, explore solutions that empower, and expand awareness.

I have a reputation, among other counselors, for being thoughtful about my approach to clients, and believe that the natural human tendency is to grow and understand oneself. I counsel with a strong commitment to non-judgmental support, believing that each client knows their own needs best. I have a calming demeanor that makes space for you to grow and experience life at its best.

Terri is known for her approachability and authenticity. She blends humor and empathy with an unwavering commitment to evidence-based practices and scientific principles. Terri received her Master’s in Counseling from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, where she learned to integrate rigorous biblical studies with the most recent science on mental health. She received the school’s highest honor, the Presidential Award for Academic Achievement and Contribution to the Seminary.

I am a limited licensed master social worker. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. I have experience working with individuals struggling with relationship conflict, life trials, transitions, anxiety, depression, and anger issues. I am passionate about helping individuals become the best versions of themselves. I want to be able to walk alongside individuals as they learn to cope and grow through difficult life challenges.

Each person has a unique life experience; the challenges they face and strengths they draw from are wholly their own. My aim as a therapist is to help clients see things from a new perspective, and tap into their strengths and resilience to meet their goals. I see each client as a person, rather than a diagnosis, and try to meet them where they are at in life’s journey. Together, we collaborate to form a person-centered treatment plan that reflects the client’s needs and goals.

As a therapist, I understand that each individual comes to therapy with different needs and for a variety of reasons. This is why I prioritize creating individualized treatment for each client. When working with clients, I first get to know the person sitting in front of me.
