If you're someone others rely on a high-achieving professional, a caregiver, or both you may find yourself quietly running on empty. Words like overwhelmed, over functioning, and at capacity may feel all too familiar. I offer a safe, supportive space to breathe, reflect, and begin healing.

My clients come to therapy because they are looking for support in facing life transitions; they may be dealing with a health diagnosis, new parenting stage, or shifting family dynamics. Often, when life is difficult or not going the way we had planned, we fight against what IS with what we think it should be. My clients want to find joy and purpose in the life they have and are looking for a safe place to explore their life stories to find strength and light. I also work with interracial families on racial identity development and with white folks wanting to do antiracist work while exploring what it means to be white.

My name is Bradley Stalker, and I'm glad you're here! If you've ever been in a situation where you continuously try but nothing seems to work out the way you expect, or wonder how you'll ever get ahead or out of an addiction cycle, or anxiety and depression makes life overwhelming, you came to the right spot. Having career difficulties, transition fears, don't know what fits your work skills or interests? Think that counseling is a little taboo? Maybe you're stuck in a negative pattern and just don't know how to turn it around. Just having the initial conversation can make a big difference!

Welcome! If you’re here, it means something in you is ready for change, even if part of you feels uncertain or tired. Beginning therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about having the courage to look honestly at your life and decide that you deserve something more aligned, more grounded, and more whole. You don’t need to have the right words. You don’t need a perfect plan. You only need a willingness to show up as you are. In this space, you’ll be met with empathy, respect, and a pace that honors your nervous system and your story.

Hi, I'm Seth. If you are experiencing dissociation (DID, OSDD), depersonalization/derealization, or complex trauma (PTSD, CPTSD), I would love to help. You may feel lost, stuck, or alone or like the noise and chaos in your mind is too much. Parts of you may be at constant odds with each other, or in panic mode. Perhaps you constantly feel on edge, unsafe or in a state of hypervigilance, reliving moments from the past as if they were happening now? Dissociation, anxiety, depression, self harm are all ways our nervous system tries to help us survive, but we don't have to stay in survival mode. There is hope, healing is possible.

Mend Counseling works with people who sense that something important has gone quiet in them. On the surface, life may look functional. Beneath it, there is often a feeling of being disconnected, guarded, or uncertain about where to go next. Some people have carried this for years without naming it. Others have tried to push through it. They come to Mend not just to feel better, but to understand themselves more honestly and to build a life that reflects who they actually are.

Hi there! I specialize in working with folks who are experiencing behaviors and emotions that are difficult to understand. Together, we can explore what those thoughts and feelings are, how best to understand them, learn about treatment approaches, and set goals. I enjoy helping to build a support network that has your best interest at heart, and allows you to share your experience with those supports in a way that gives you choice and dignity. LGBTQAI+ affirming and compassionate care is the standard here, as is support around accessing reproductive healthcare.

I believe that every individual deserves a space where they feel supported, understood, and empowered. Mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, and OCD can be overwhelming and, at times, all-consuming—leading individuals to feel defined by their diagnosis. My approach is based on the understanding that clients are the experts of their own lives. My role is not to “fix” their problems, but to walk alongside them as they navigate life’s hardships. I am committed to helping clients reclaim their voice, rediscover their purpose, and recognize the good in each day.

Real change begins when you’re willing to look honestly at yourself and your relationships. I bring a direct, compassionate, and deeply relational approach to therapy—helping clients move beyond old patterns and into more authentic, connected ways of living. Over the years, I’ve helped countless individuals, couples, and adult family members gain clarity, strengthen their relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. Clients often describe me as warm, insightful, and engaging—a therapist who tells the truth with empathy and helps them see what’s been hard to see on their own, and then guides them toward healing.

I am so glad you are here. However you arrived here, I hope this space becomes a soft landing. Because pain often stems from relationships – I believe the best place to heal is within a safe, non-judgmental relationship where we together offer love and compassion to the points of rupture. As you connect with the complexities of your story, I would be honored to hold space with you.

Accepting new clients! You grew up being the responsible one, managing a parent's moods, earning love, keeping the peace. Now you're exhausted. You overthink everything, feel guilty saying no, and can't shake the sense that something is off even though your childhood "wasn't that bad." You're a millennial healing from emotionally immature family dynamics, and the patterns they taught you are showing up in every relationship you have, including the one with yourself. I help you name what happened, understand why you adapted, and finally feel at home in who you are.

I enjoy working with clients that are ready to explore their mental health. I have a strong belief that people can change and grow through any troubles they may have faced, or are facing. Sometimes, we just need a little help. That is where I get to play my part in a client's life. I really enjoy clients who want to be in therapy and are ready to challenge the things that may be holding them back, or obstacles in their way. Clients who are looking for a teammate, rather than someone to tell them how to live their lives, are going to find that I am a good fit for them.

Attachment-based Therapists
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.

What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.

How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.

Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
