You say, "We used to have lots of fun together." But now physical intimacy has faded and you cannot decide whether to leave or stay. Just as bad, people give advice that doesn’t help, or they judge and find fault. Well, you already know something has gone wrong. Why not consult a professional (an LMFT)? We listen without forcing your decisions. You will have gentle guidance that honors personal values. As you and your spouse (or partner) talk in a structured, safe place, answers emerge. Therapy helps to find answers that were already there all along - you just couldn't see them. Hey, stop the rough ride of disappointment.

I help queer clients fully affirm their identity and thrive. While supportive, I am also direct and work to help clients remove limiting belief systems, get out of executive dysfunction and add clarity to where they are trying to go and what they are trying to achieve. I have also been seeing couples and polycules for nearly a decade and help work on communication skills, vulnerability and transparency, as well as establishing and reinforcing firm boundaries. Because I hold an addictions certificate, I am well equipped to serve people with co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance abuse challenges).

My clients are individual adults in Michigan living with the aftermath of betrayal or childhood wounds — often functioning well on the outside while quietly carrying something their body won't let them forget.
I specialize in betrayal trauma, infidelity recovery, and adult developmental trauma using Somatic Experiencing— a body-centered, somatic approach that works with the nervous system directly. Rather than retelling your story before your body feels ready, we work gently with what your body has been holding. Telehealth throughout Michigan. Cash pay, Superbill.

As life’s demands—work, parenting, and endless decision-making—pile up, it’s easy for the connection between partners to gradually fade. When stuck in this cycle, couples often feel frustrated and uncertain about how to return to the closeness they once shared. You may still love each other deeply, but the bond feels distant. The good news? It doesn’t have to stay that way. There is a path forward. With the right guidance, you can repair the trust that’s been shaken, smooth over the tension, and rebuild a relationship where you feel truly heard, supported, and safe with one another—one thoughtful step at a time.

In couples therapy, I work to understand both partners' perspectives, help them heal from betrayal and abandonment, improve communication, and increase intimacy.
I imagine you are ready for change. It takes courage to realize that you need to take action if you want your life to be different. Addressing emotional hurdles and pain points in your life may be hard, but it is essential in order to truly thrive. My clients and I team together to make positive, sustainable changes in their lives, relationships, and families no matter how difficult their situations. It is my personal mission that everyone who works with me will be better when they leave than before they arrived. I view our time together as a partnership in which we are both committed to getting you to a healthier and happier space.

Infidelity Therapists
How does therapy for infidelity work?
A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?
Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?
When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?
Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
