I work with adults experiencing challenges with parenting neurodiversity and children with additional needs, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, postpartum anxiety and depression, transitioning to motherhood and other phase of life issues, and anxiety. I have extensive experience working with substance use disorders and behavioral addiction. My work experiences include individual and family therapy, residential treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, and supervision.

James spent ten years providing outpatient services where he observed that mental illness and chemical dependence issues, otherwise known as “co-occurring disorders” were low priority. Agencies seldom have time and resources to focus on one or the other, let alone “both” sides of the mental health and substance dependence matter. James became a social worker to work for change, and this dichotomy was unacceptable. Reliance was born out of this frustration as a possible solution for the those that it is able to serve. Substance use, mental health, or spiritual change are all goals Reliance will seek to facilitate alongside you.

Hello, my name is Candice! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have experience working in an integrated health care agency and in private practice. I have worked with people of all ages that are dealing with a large variety of mental health challenges. When you come to see me, you are entering an inclusive and safe space that is free from judgement. You are encouraged to be your true authentic self in my office. I am a social work intern currently finishing up my masters of social work degree at Boston University. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from Wayne State University. I have professional experience working with children and teens with anxiety, trauma, school difficulties, behavior challenges, autism spectrum disorder and trauma. As I continue to gain experience, I am available to work with children, teens, young adults and adults individually or couples.
