I believe that the foundation of a successful therapeutic relationship is compassion and understanding. My aim is to work together to develop the best approach for the individual in therapy and adjust accordingly to the individual’s needs. By establishing goals with the individual, we can address the concerns and underlying issues that can change difficult. I have been in private practice for the last three years, where I earned my LMSW and have worked with a wide variety of clients. I am also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and worked to advocate for social justice.

I love working with children and taking a whole child approach. I was a social worker at the elementary school level for 10 years prior to private practice, which allows me to bring a unique skill set to my work with children. I moved to private practice to have the ability to work on a deeper level with children and their families.

I am honored to work with women who are facing anxiety, depression, grief or struggling with what is next in life. Especially those living with chronic illness, experiencing career burnout, working through seasons of loneliness, or struggling with body image and self love.

The areas I specialize in include working with mood disorders, young adults, parenting support, various life transitions, and I am especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ individuals as a non-binary therapist (they/them), most especially with gender identity issues. I am also passionate about helping individuals going through infertility experiences, as my wife and I experienced this struggle firsthand before we had our child using IVF treatment. I love offering a compassionate approach to these sensitive subjects as individuals navigate their options and explore the complex emotions associated with infertility in therapy.

Sarah Dymond is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She is a versatile therapist who enjoys working with individual adults, children and families. Sarah believes that at the heart of every successful interaction with her clients is a foundation built on trust and respect. She works alongside her clients as they achieve their goals using a client-centered and strengths-based approach. She strives to provide a genuine empathetic space in which her clients feel comfortable to discuss challenges and to explore solutions.

I work with individuals and families to help navigate through life’s difficulties such as anxiety, peer/family relationships, and behavioral challenges. Integrating evidence-based practices, such as EMDR and EFT, will help you manage difficult emotions; cope with stress; build resiliency to discomfort or pain, and address challenges. My approach is accepting, affirming, and collaborative.

If there's one thing you can change now, what would that be? I'd like to help you get there! I’m passionate about helping grad students, working professionals (including healthcare), those with health issues, and caregivers. I've trained and worked in many hospitals, so I’m well-versed on how to deal with stressful jobs and academics, health issues, and the healthcare system. I've mentored college/grad students that I can understand what it's like to grow up in this world. As an Asian American, I have lived and clinical experience in being a minority and how family, societal, and cultural issues impact mental health and wellbeing.
