I have a tremendous amount of respect for those who have the wisdom and courage to seek support through therapy and I work hard to help them learn to listen to themselves. I believe that my work as a therapist is to provide an experience of support, challenge, trust, and experiential knowledge that individuals may take forward in the world. I view the individuals who enter therapy from a multi-systemic lens, their strengths and challenges are influenced by their interaction with the world around them.

Are you having trouble connecting sexually and struggle with intimacy? Are you worried your relationship cant handle more infidelity and conflict? Romantic comedies have done us a disservice! They have us thinking that relationships dont take work and should be hot and spontaneous forever, LIES! Relationships and keeping a sexual connection takes work, we need to put in some effort to keep things moving. Sometimes our bodies don’t do exactly what we want, our bodies change in ability, age, function and appearance and our sexual expectations and communication skills need to change too.

If you are LGBTQ+, you may be feeling lost and struggling to find someone who “gets” you. As a queer transgender man, I have a unique perspective into the challenges of navigating our world, and I feel empowered to support folks who are exploring what it means to live as their authentic selves. I’m invested in supporting folks at any age who are like us. I encourage you to bring anything into our sessions so we can process things together. Many of us experience problems in living from time to time, as we manage our intimate relationships, careers, children, financial burdens etc…. Often times, these problems can lead to feeling poorly about oneself or even to feelings of hopelessness or helplessness. Sometimes, these problems reach a magnitude where our level of distress or ability to function is affected. At these times, it can be very helpful to talk to a professional who can provide insight, support and perspective on these difficult issues. Although your issues may seem unmanageable to you now, with the right help, these problems can be overcome.

Overall, I consider myself a "worldly nurturer". "Worldly", because I have worked with people from all backgrounds, cultures, ages, and walks of life to "nurture" their potential. All of my experiences have taught me the foundational skills that I use in my profession today, which are: patience, the ability to listen, the understanding that listening is as paramount as speaking, the capabilities to be resourceful, valuing modesty and humility whilst still being confident and capable, and having faith in my skill-set while still being open to professionally growing and developing.

Is your "stuff" blocking your JOY??? I help professional women and men who despite having it all together on the outside, are struggling on the inside. Because as smart, bold, and fabulous as you may be, sometimes our "stuff" gets in the way of us living, loving, and working with JOY. Maybe you are struggling in a complicated relationship, be it with a friend, family, or lover? Or feeling like you have no purpose in life or aren't living abundantly? Or maybe you are dealing with emotional baggage that just won't go away.

Sex Therapy
Who is sex therapy for?
Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.
Why do people need sex therapy?
Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.
What happens in sex therapy?
People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.
What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?
Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
