I have a history of working with many individuals from different backgrounds; combating an array of issues such as domestic violence, abuse, relationship issues, family conflict, emotional regulation, and more.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by family conflict, systemic pressures, or the weight of caring for everyone but yourself, you’re not alone. Anxiety, depression, numbness, and feeling misunderstood can make it hard to stay connected to what matters. Everyone deserves a safe, supportive space to explore their experiences, understand their patterns, and create meaningful change. Together, we can work toward clarity, healing, and a more balanced path forward.

Making a commitment to therapy can definitely be a heavy ask but I’d be honored if you took a chance with me and allowed me to take that journey with you. I would love to support you in the way that my friends and family members have told me that I’ve supported them during periods of transition, relationship qualms, or crisis. Because of them, I believed in myself and took the long hard journey to gain the credentials to assist others in a similar way. I am committed to seeing you reach the win you imagine – let’s reach that finish line together!

I have years of experience working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
I believe that with support and the right therapeutic relationship you can make the changes you want in your life. I am a Certified Sex Therapist and I attended the Sexual Health Certificate Program at the University of Michigan. I work with folks who want to fully experience sexual pleasure, but aren't sure how. This may be related to sexual pain, sexual trauma, or an upbringing lacking education about sexual health. My approach honors and addresses situations in the past, but also gives you ideas about how to feel better in the here and now.

I work with women, men, and teens seeking coaching to manage difficult times, depression, and addressing experiences of harm. I offer my clients a trauma-informed approach to life coaching. Our work together starts when a client reaches out, and I learn about how I may be helpful to them in that particular chapter in their life. From there, we discuss ways to move forward.

Restore Your Joy. You’ve learned how to keep it together. To show up. To hold space for everyone else. But maybe no one ever taught you how to be held. How to ask for help. How to say, “I’m not okay.” I work with people who feel tired in ways they can’t always explain. People carrying grief, anger, pressure, and expectation, with no safe place to put it down. Folks who seem like they’re functioning, but deep down feel disconnected, unseen, or quietly unraveling. You might not know what you need right now. That’s okay. You don’t have to find the perfect words. You don’t have to perform strength. You can exhale and come as you are.

I probably don’t need to tell you we’re living in a racist, sexist, heteronormative, capitalist dystopian nightmare in a slow and painful collapse. It’s hard to cope with that knowledge while dealing with day-to-day nonsense, on top of reliving past trauma on a regular basis. It’s a lot and it’s heavy and it sucks. Some people turn to substances and other vices to cope.

What the hell is even happening right now?” Maybe your mind’s on overdrive replaying the past, worrying about what’s next, or just trying to hold it all together. You’ve taken deep breaths, listened to podcasts, and read books, but it’s still exhausting. Anxiety’s running high. You’re snapping at the people you care about. Some days, even getting out of bed feels like too much. You want to feel calm, connected, and in control, but no matter how hard you try, it keeps slipping through your fingers.

At some point in our lives, we will experience emotional and psychological distress. Most people will try to avoid or go through their distress without seeking help. People choose to do this because they are not sure how therapy will help them. Setbacks, failures, and tragedies are all a part of life. Therapy helps us understand why we act and respond in ways that cause us harm, get through rough times, strengthen our family ties, bonds and build healthier relationships. Therapy helps us to identify and process feelings and emotions, so that we can grow and move forward to lead more productive and quality lives.

What if things could feel different? You’ve wondered that so many times lately. Your thoughts feel overwhelming, rushing between past pain and the future you hope for. You’ve tried everything: grounding skills, self-help tools, and advice, yet you’re still just pushing through. Stress is loud, patience is thin, and progress feels exhausting. Still, you haven’t given up. You want relief, genuine support, and room to simply exist. Peace may feel distant, but you’re closer to change than you realize.

Domestic Abuse Therapists

What are the most effective ways to recover from domestic abuse?

Leaving an abusive relationship requires tremendous courage, so survivors in treatment should recognize that they have already completed the most important step. Still, the trauma of physical or emotional abuse can be difficult to process and overcome. Therapy can help survivors process trauma, grief, and difficult emotions, treat relevant mental health symptoms, and create a new framework for boundaries and relationships in the future. For some, support groups can also be an invaluable outlet for healing.

When should an individual seek help for domestic abuse?

Victims of intimate partner violence should seek help immediately. It can take substantial time, planning, energy, and courage to leave an abusive relationship, but starting the process—by seeking therapy, calling the domestic violence hotline, or simply confiding in a loved one—will help them get there. Those who have left abusive relationships but haven’t sought treatment can also greatly benefit from therapy to process and heal from the experience.

What are the consequences of staying in an abusive relationship?

Remaining in an abusive relationship has serious repercussions. In addition to the ongoing threat of physical danger and emotional abuse, research shows that intimate partner violence is associated with a range of mental health disorders including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse. Therefore it’s important for individuals in an abusive relationship to seek help as soon as possible.

How can you get domestic abuse treatment for someone else?

It can be very complicated to identify and leave an abusive relationship; barriers include the threat of violence, financial instability, and family pressures. Those concerned about a loved one in an abusive relationship should talk to them about the situation, provide them with resources such as the domestic violence hotline, and introduce the idea of seeing a therapist due to their concern for the person’s safety and well-being.
