I enjoy working with clients that are ready to explore their mental health. I have a strong belief that people can change and grow through any troubles they may have faced, or are facing. Sometimes, we just need a little help. That is where I get to play my part in a client's life. I really enjoy clients who want to be in therapy and are ready to challenge the things that may be holding them back, or obstacles in their way. Clients who are looking for a teammate, rather than someone to tell them how to live their lives, are going to find that I am a good fit for them.

The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are -Joseph Campbell. Together, we can really hone in on what it is you are wanting for yourself and finding a path forward, that best suites you. Often, the work is getting back in touch with your Self in a deeper way—like re-calibrating your inner compass. My understanding of counseling comes from holistic, somatic and trauma-informed approaches that incorporate mind, body, and soul such as Jungian, IFS and transpersonal. Sex therapy is also a very important part of the work I do. Check out my website blog to learn more details about how I work

At times life’s struggles can lead to a need to adjust to things thrown your way unexpectedly. When feelings of anxiety, sadness or adjustments become overwhelming, we may benefit from an objective partner to help us think things through and sort out our choices. I specialize in working with Black, BIPOC, African American teens and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, chronic health concerns, work related issues and life transitions. If you could benefit from a safe space, an empathetic ear, a non-judgmental voice or a reflective place of insight, my training and experience can be of assistance to you.

Women Thou Art You: I don't look like what I have been through, and you don't have to either. There are times in our lives when we can't see past our grief, trauma, passion, or desires. Women rise to the occasion, but sometimes it only takes one thing to knock us down. As leaders of companies, communities, churches, the home, and being a momma bear, we lose it. There is no shame in talking things out with a professionally trained helper. Man of the House: Men are expected to be the head of the home, but sometimes they are the victim. Many times they think they lived restrictive lives but in actuality it was an effort of protection.

You have been sitting with your thoughts and seem to recycle your memories. You are excellent at suppressing your hurt and stay busy with work and life as a distraction. You may no longer connect with others the way you used to and keep friends and family at a distance. The Pandemic may have increased your anxiety and depression and you are uncertain where to begin. Your worry and fear come out as: anger, sadness and controlling behaviors, due to questioning your worth and self esteem. Will I ever feel truly happy? Will I feel truly loved? Will I find my life path and the career that makes my soul soar? Will I learn to forgive?

Lately, life has felt like a constant struggle. No matter how much you push yourself, it’s hard to be present—for your responsibilities, relationships, or your own needs. I work with teens and adults navigating ADHD, depression, anxiety, and trauma, with a special focus on LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals. You deserve care that truly understands you, and I’m here to help.

Reaching out and seeking support for yourself can be extremely vulnerable and taxing, especially when you've already been trying to manage overwhelming emotions and the issues of every day life. Even if we do not end up working together, I am glad that you are out here exploring what kind of help is available to you. Shopping for therapists can be tricky. Wherever you are in your journey, my goal is to meet you there and help you discover safe and inviting possibilities towards your goals. I work well with queer and trans clients who are coming in with relational, developmental, and/or sexual traumas/injuries.
