You’re a seeker who asks the big questions about life. A high achiever who’s always been called quirky. You just seem to know things that no one else does when you’re regulated enough to follow your intuition. You recently got your autism or ADHD diagnosis (or self-identified) and it finally all makes sense why you’ve always been different.

After our first session, most of my clients express feeling relief and hope. Later in therapy, they tell me that sessions have changed their lives in surprising ways, and that they have learned things about themselves they didn't know before. I hope everyone I work with leaves therapy with a deeper, more secure attachment with themselves and the confidence to face life's challenges. At the end of our first hour together, you'll have someone on your side to help, and a plan to move forward. When my schedule is full, I recommend my colleague, Julianne Opperwall, who has virtual availability. My website has more information.

You might feel caught between worlds. Tired of explaining yourself, of fragmenting who you are to make others comfortable. I work with young adults, children of immigrants, and people navigating queer/religious identity. My clients often feel the weight of being a "model minority", and the loneliness of living between cultures in a place that often erases and devalues BIPOC identity. They might deal with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or relationship/familial/community challenges rooted in these complex intersections. I offer my clients a space built on shared understanding, where no part of your identity feels like a contradiction.

I work with individuals and couples dealing with the impact of trauma, relationship challenges, and anxiety or mood concerns. I especially enjoy helping people build emotional awareness and self-esteem, while working through deep rooted patterns like overthinking, people-pleasing, and avoidance. My style is relaxed and relational. I focus on creating an open, supportive space where you can explore your experiences and develop healthier ways of coping, relating, and connecting.

My working theory is that PTSD develops when a person is wounded—emotionally, psychologically, or physically—by a person, place, or event. Those wounds don’t stay neatly contained. They often show up later as depression, anxiety, or a range of other trauma‑related symptoms. In other words, PTSD isn’t just about the original event; it’s about how that injury continues to echo through a person’s thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of safety.

You are wanting to make lasting change, but don't know where to start. Daily life may feel like an uphill battle and your emotions may feel big and isolating, but you still want to be heard. You believe your past experiences may offer clarity. As a couple, you both want to return to connection. You have a deep love for each other but it's lost in conflict, bickering and the constant cycle. Sometimes you hear yourself saying things you don't truly mean, or reacting in ways that don't feel like you, yet you want to be close.

I help queer clients fully affirm their identity and thrive. While supportive, I am also direct and work to help clients remove limiting belief systems, get out of executive dysfunction and add clarity to where they are trying to go and what they are trying to achieve. I have also been seeing couples and polycules for nearly a decade and help work on communication skills, vulnerability and transparency, as well as establishing and reinforcing firm boundaries. Because I hold an addictions certificate, I am well equipped to serve people with co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance abuse challenges).

Many clients carry a quiet weight, a sense that some part of you is unheard, perhaps even within yourself. I know what it's like to hold it all in until your body speaks for you. My practice bridges Western clinical models with ancient healing wisdom, creating a centered, sacred space where every part of you: mind, body, spirit: is invited to find its voice. As a Chicano, detribalized Indigenous therapist, I help you navigate complex transitions, heal from racial stress and intergenerational trauma, and integrate profound experiences, including psychedelic journeys.
